Meet the Owners
Powder Day Donuts is a small, family business, owned by Jeff and Sue Fegelein. Jeff and Sue met in Steamboat Springs in 1997, and have been together ever since. They have been married since 1999, and have two awesome, hilarious children and one (also hilarious) Boxer.
Jeff has an extensive culinary background. Jeff worked his way around kitchens in many different roles for many years, acting as a line cook, a sous chef, a restaurant manager, a chef, a baker and, most recently, a donut maker for Milk Run-which led to the desire to start Powder Day Donuts.
Sue worked in restaurants and restaurant management in her past, but switched gears, went to law school and practiced law for 9 years before realizing she wanted to serve people in a different way, and moved into the world of nonprofits. Sue was the Executive Director of Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA for 2 1/2 years, and has since served our community by working as the Executive Director for LiftUp of Routt County since March, 2017.
Jeff runs the show at Powder Day Donuts, and the couple is really grateful for the wonderful reception our community has shown this new business.
